Our stance on AI music
Manifesto · June 2026
AI-generated music has arrived. It’s not a forecast, it’s the present. The question is no longer “will it happen?”, but “who takes responsibility for choosing the part of it worth listening to?”.
Opinions on this topic are strong and often opposite. We want to be clear about where we stand, because we believe that today transparency matters more than any slogan.
The problem we see
Every day, huge numbers of tracks are created with AI. The result is a paradox: there has never been so much new music available, yet it’s almost impossible to find the good stuff. It’s scattered everywhere, buried under mountains of identical tracks, with no place where a curious listener can simply hear the best and form an opinion.
That’s where inHits comes from: we want to be the first curated place to discover the AI music that truly deserves it — and, through it, to make the world discover and love this new music.
Where our music comes from
We’re transparent about the process. Every track — from the lyrics to the style — comes from our proprietary software, designed to propose high-quality new music. But the software only proposes: the final step is always human. Our curators decide whether to publish, edit, improve or discard each track. The music you find on inHits is produced and selected entirely by us.
The question of rights
It’s one of the first questions we get, and we take it seriously. The music we publish is produced and selected in-house: we don’t go “fishing” for other people’s tracks to put in our catalog. We’ll keep addressing the rights question seriously as the legal landscape around AI music evolves — and when we have something new to say, we’ll say it openly.
Why human curation is non-negotiable
You might think that, with enough AI, humans become unnecessary. We believe the exact opposite. The more music is generated, the more valuable the person who can say “this one yes, this one no” becomes. Technology multiplies the possibilities; curation gives them meaning. That’s why, with us, the last word always belongs to a curator.
How we sustain ourselves (today)
Total honesty: right now we have no business model. inHits is an early-stage project, driven by a mission rather than profit. The app is completely free, with no ads and no subscriptions. Our only goal right now is to make people discover and love AI music. If one day we introduce ways to sustain it, we’ll do it transparently and tell you first.
An invitation
We’re not asking you to take our word for it. We’re asking you to listen. Press play, form your own opinion, tell us what you think. The conversation about AI music has only just begun, and we’d love to have you in it.
